Graduated at the Universidad Mayor Real y Pontificia de San Francisco Javier de Chuquisaca in 1966. Postgraduate training in Pediatric and Ivasive Cardiology at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium in 1972. Head of Pediatric Cardiology and interventional cardiologist. Currently instructor in Postgraduate medical education. His main interests are hemodynamic studies in babies of less than 3 kg, percutaneous closure of patent ductus with a device, percutaneous pulmonary valvuloplasty with balloon and angioplasty for post surgical re-coarctation of the thoracic aorta. Dr. J. Navarro is Past-president of the Bolivian Society of Cardiology and member of the Bolivian Society of Internal Medicine and the Bolivian Society of Organ Transplantation.
